SPLASHES
I’m a native of Long Island, New York. Favorite childhood memories include boating on Long Island Sound, swimming in the Atlantic, and water-skiing on vacations in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Now I call the suburbs of Seattle home. Whether seeking peaceful solitude or fun with friends, I find refreshment in the splashes at water’s edge. Water is life-giving.
ENCOURAGEMENT
Encouragement is defined as imparting courage, giving support, confidence, or hope. When circumstances weigh on us, and demands wear us down, encouragement helps us face each day. When we receive good news and others show support by celebrating with us, our joy is magnified. I thrive on encouragement, and I want this blog to encourage others.
FOUNDATION
While blog posts will cover a variety of topics, my faith is at the foundation of who I am as a person and a writer. Having grown up as the child of a Lutheran mother (Mom’s a preacher’s kid!) and a Jewish father—later adding a Catholic stepfamily, I appreciate honest questions more than dogmatic answers. All are welcome here.
